Australia
David Jones is joining Qantas Frequent Flyer to counter Myer which is absorbing Just Group’s program into Myer One and will also upgrade its app and rewards hub.
Metcash’s liquor arm ALM now has 400 stores in loyalty programs, Liquor Marketing Group’s More Rewards reached 40K members, Liquor Legends hit a million members last year and Thirsty Camel will upgrade its Hump Club with gamification.
Woolworths will shut MyDeal (lack of profitability), Target will sunset Shop+ and Super Cheap Auto eliminated its Best Price Credit.
Qantas was hacked and 6 million frequent flyers are affected (the biggest hack since Medibank and Optus).
