Sompo is one of the largest P&C Insurers in Asia and they were looking to make a large acquisition in the loyalty sector.

The project objective was to assess the financial value of the target, including complex due diligence and modelling of points earn and redemption.


Ellipsis built a comprehensive financial model covering multiple critical metrics of program value, including phased redemption profiling, weighted points costings, various growth scenarios, and NPV/ROI valuations.

The Ellipsis team also developed a regional affinity marketing strategy, supported by research into real-time digital capabilities.


Based on the financial modelling and Ellipsis’ advice, our client ultimately did not proceed with the transaction.

Ellipsis was retained for further advisory work in the loyalty and marketing domains.
